While you make a few valid points for someone who is stuck to a desktop to do a majority of his music listening I enjoy Lala. Myspace wouldnt look good on my browser screen at the office as this would appear I'm on the service for social reasons, not to play music in the background. Now we both know I dont have a problem with this but alot of other corporate employees may want a music only site that the bosses dont see as a social site. I used to use Jango and it is crap for various reasons. I know of people that use Pandora and have good things to say but I dont believe they have the ability to add your own music like Lala does. The best feature I have seen with Lala is the mix feature. Lets say you like Lady Gaga (why I dont know) and are interested in hearing other artists who are similar. By making a single click you get an hours worth of music in the same genre as Lady Gaga. It is a great way to learn about new artists and hear some new tunes. By utilizing this feature you never really need to spend alot of money on the site, just always look for new and interesting tunes. I will say that I used the site and realized you could add the mp3 file after adding the web only file so not sure why you didnt see that but that seems like a minor argument. For non Apple, non mobile music listeners Lala is a good option in my opinion.

*The errors in which he is speaking of I will admit to. The first error is that I am calling these songs as "stuck online" when I have just learned that you have the ability to purchase MP3 files for $0.79. Thus allowing you to place these songs into your iTunes and therefore putting them on your phone. I used this service for three days and never saw that this was an option. After going back to lala I did notice that there are three options for purchasing the songs. This, to me, is counter intuitive and confuses the user; obviously. I am looking at lala as a place to listen to music online and not necessarily where to buy music. Sure, iTunes only allows you a thirty second preview of the song; but I took iTunes from a purchase point, not a listening point. The same with MySpace; from a place to listen to the music, not to purchase. I appreciate this comment and I will admit that when this post was written I was unaware that you could in fact purchase the MP3 of the song/album. I guess that is another failure to the folks at lala because if I can spend three days using their service and never see that, they do not make it very obvious. Thank you Pete for your comments.

first of all you need to do your homework before you express your "opinions" because you have some pretty major flaws in your blog which makes you look kind of... well, silly. and then, you open this with you will never use lala but yet you make valid points for why it is a good service. pick a side mr potts. can't wait til your droid blog comes out with reasons why it is an amazing phone yet no one should ever get it.
